Students' Club for Augmenting Innovations (SCAI)

Around fifteen years ago Honey Bee network had triggered a movement to scout, spawn and sustain unaided creative and innovative urges in unorganized sector of our society. Accordingly, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, set up National Innovation Foundation (NIF) under the chairpersonship of Dr R.A. Mashelkar, Secretary, DSIR and Director General, CSIR.

The most significant outcome of Students' Club for Augmenting Innovations (SCAI) would be that students from different Business Schools and Technical Institutes would come together for advancing the cause of grassroots innovators. This is an effort to link the informal knowledge system (grassroots genius) with formal knowledge system and thereby have a distributed knowledge system in place. Such an attempt would ensure the reach of economically poor-knowledge rich people to the masses and will also prevent the erosion of indigenous knowledge base. This is an unprecedented event and has enormous potential to change the development paradigm.

Fortunately, Malla Reddy Institute of Management Joined the hands with National Innovation Foundation and took Up Innovative Activities in the form of Business Plan Presentation and Seminars, Shodha yatras on rural innovation. NIF has started a Nodal Centre at MRIM.

MANAGEMENT CLUB

In the business world, events are one of the most effective means of meeting and communicating with industry peers. It is one of the streams which inculcate a holistic understanding of the term "management" in to the students. Management event is a platform where students can explore and exhibit their skills, knowledge, talents etc., in various dimensions i.e. finance, marketing, human resource and systems.

Pool of drops becomes ocean similarly contribution of each individual, towards the society makes it problems free. Doing the social service to the society enhance the confidence on humanity and gives immense satisfaction to the person who do it. Contributing what they have in the form of money, cloths, doing work, sharing knowledge etc., without expecting anything in return is not less than preaching almighty with holy heart. Perhaps God may or may not be pleased with the preaching but definitely feel happy with the social service.
